Dot NAME Domain Names

Established in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the only one supposed to be for personal web pages only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other titles people are famous by. Initially, solely third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to buy john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was loosened and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken third-level names remained online.

Through our firm, you can purchase your dot NAME domain for a time interval between one and ten years. You will have the chance to update the WHOIS contact information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already registered domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been finalized. There are no special rules on who can get a .NAME domain name, but in order to keep the goal behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may verify who the Registrant is and if there is no relation between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration could be challenged.

The dot NAME gTLD is among the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no extra cost. In this way, your .NAME domain will be recognized in your country or area with the accurate spelling in your native language.
